Booking platforms have made travel more accessible in many ways — but they have also added layers between guests and hosts that were not always there for a reason. Here are five concrete benefits that only come when you book directly with Williams and Washington, and why they matter.
1. No Platform Service Fees
The most tangible advantage. Third-party platforms add service fees at checkout — typically 10–15% on top of the accommodation rate. Book direct through our website and that fee does not exist. On a longer stay in Breckenridge or Beaver Dam, the saving can be meaningful. We would rather that money stay in your pocket, to spend on a great dinner or a day trip.
2. Genuine Human Communication
Platforms handle thousands of bookings simultaneously. We handle ours personally. When you book direct, your messages reach people who know the properties, know the destinations, and are motivated by your satisfaction — not by a platform’s metrics. Questions get real answers, requests get proper consideration.
3. Flexible Arrival and Arrangement Options
Life does not always work around standard check-in windows. When you book direct, conversations about early arrivals, late checkouts, or special logistics are far more straightforward. We work with you where we can, rather than applying blanket platform rules.
4. Easier Access to Add-On Services
Our private chef service, experience recommendations, and any other additions to your stay are most easily arranged when you are in direct contact with our team. There is no third-party inbox in the way — just a conversation with the people who can make it happen.
5. A Better Relationship From the Start
Direct booking sets a different tone. You are not a booking reference on a platform dashboard — you are a guest of Williams and Washington, with everything that entails. That relationship shapes how we prepare your property, how we respond when you get in touch, and how we think about your return.
